We've been live for about a month now and it's been a great experience working with new sellers, garnering feedback and implementing fixes & new features. A few of these have been:
- Featured Products - spotlight your best items at the top of your shop
- Pre-Orders - start taking orders before stock lands, with a ship date and optional cap
- Open Hardware Badges - show your OSHW certification ID and link straight to your source code
- Related Products - cross-link items so buyers discover more of your work
- Flexible Shipping - calculated, free, or flat-rate, your choice per product
- Per-Variant Photos - assign images to specific variants, so the right photo shows for each option
- Wishlists - buyers can save items and get notified when they're back in stock
- Coupon Codes - run your own promotions and discounts
- Vacation Mode - pause your shop (or just sales) when you need a break
- Packing Slips & Labels - cleanly formatted, in a range of sizes
- Expanded Import Tool - pull existing listings from Etsy, eBay, Shopify, Tindie, Lectronz and Crowd Supply
Plus all the "meta" work like boosting our search engine/gen AI placement and working on our social media accounts.
But the big one that just dropped: we are proud to announce we're now able to give sellers a choice of how to get paid: Stripe or PayPal. I'm pretty sure we're the only marketplace offering this - but it opens the door for a lot of holdouts who just wanted something more familiar, and people who live/sell from countries which aren't yet supported by Stripe. Our preference is still that sellers in a Stripe-supported country stick with Stripe. It's a fully-managed platform and has been great to work with so far.
But regardless of the option you choose, fees remain the same across the board - and that brings me to one other point: as far as I can tell we have the lowest selling fees of any marketplace we've found. We can do this because we run lean and built the platform ourselves.
And we're just getting warmed up. Nearly every feature above started as a seller asking us, "hey, could it do this?" - so if there's something that'd make your shop run smoother, tell us.
So whether you're slinging dice, dev boards, enamel pins, miniatures, 3D prints or retro mods - come set up shop. Stripe or PayPal, your call. We'd love to have you.
