Returns and Refunds

This page describes the return policy that applies to every purchase on SmallRun. Individual sellers may offer a more generous policy on their shop page, but never a less generous one. The full legal terms are in Section 6 of our Terms of Service.

The Short Version

1. Return Window

Any item purchased on SmallRun may be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided it is unused, undamaged, and not personalized or made to order. Sellers may extend this window in their own shop policy, but every seller accepts returns for at least 30 days.

2. How to Start a Return

Open the order from your orders page and use the contact option to let the seller know you want to return the item. The seller will confirm the return address. Ship the item back by mail with tracking, and keep your proof of postage until the refund is complete.

The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. There are two exceptions:

4. Restocking Fees

There are no restocking fees on SmallRun. When your return is accepted, you are refunded the full item price - no deductions for processing, repackaging, or handling.

5. Refunds

Once the seller receives the returned item, your refund is issued to your original payment method within 14 days. The refund covers the full item price and, where the law requires it (such as EU/UK withdrawals), the original standard shipping cost. Your bank or card issuer may take a few additional business days to post the credit.

6. Exchanges

SmallRun does not offer exchanges as a standard policy. Most items here are made in small runs, so a replacement in a different option or size may not exist. If you want a different item, return the original for a refund and place a new order.

7. Items That Cannot Be Returned

Defective items are always covered regardless of the categories above - see Section 3.

8. EU and UK Buyers

If you are a consumer in the EU, UK, or EEA, you also have the statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason, and goods must conform to the contract for at least two years from delivery. These rights sit alongside the 30-day policy above and are described in full in Section 6 of the Terms of Service.
