Build your own Altair from modern components
This case was designed by Mike Douglas and used for his Altair Clone and the Altair 8800c. The Altair Clone has been discontinued as a product and Mike has stopped producing this case. Knowing how important this case is to the hobby Mike and I have decided that I will continue production using his original designs.
This cabinet includes pre-drilled holes that line up with holes in the 9-slot motherboard, or with two of the Altair 4-slot motherboards. You will have to measure and drill mounting holes for your chosen power supplies, or if a different motherboard is used. You can find more information on Mike’s Altair 8800c page.
It includes all items pictured. It is designed to use the front panel circuit board set that Mike still sells on his site.
This case is included with my Altair-Duino Pro kit.
Please note - this is not an exact replacement for the original Altair 8800. While it looks the same, parts from this case are not interchangeable with the original case.
This is shipped in a large box (20in x 20in x 10in) so international shipping may be quite expensive.
