In building a DIY NAS in the Silverstone DS380 Case I noticed that my hard disk drives were getting incredibly hot--despite having two 120mm fans pointing right at the drive bays. Unfortunately the air being pulled in by the fans followed the path of least
resistance very little--if any--air was pushed over the drives.
So I decided to 3D-design a cooling duct for the SilverStone DS380. The premise was to screw in the ducts into the top of the 120mm fans which would make the path of least resistance for the air to flow through the drive cage and then get drawn out the back of the case by its exhaust fans.
The Cooling Duct's 3D-design files are available for free for those with 3D-printers to recreate. This listing was created for folks who might not have the same access to a 3D-printer.
