Autostart Module for EVBox G2/G3 Chargers

Is your EVBox charger no longer usable because the EVBox Everon backend has shut down? The Autostart Module replaces the original modem and makes the charger operate completely standalone.

What it does

The Autostart Module is a drop-in replacement for the original EVBox modem. It connects to the same four-pin connector and requires no soldering or modifications to the charger.

Once installed:

1. Plug in your vehicle and charging starts automatically.
2. No backend is required.
3. No SIM card or cellular connection is required.
4. There is no subscription or recurring cost.
5. The charger operates independently as a simple autostart charger.

This is an autostart solution, not a replacement for the EVBox management system. Backend-based features such as administration, remote control, user management, and monitoring are no longer available.

Compatibility

The module supports EVBox G2 and G3 HomeLine and BusinessLine chargers, produced between 2013 and 2021.

The easiest way to check compatibility is by looking at the charger's serial or model number.

Serial numbers

1. G2 chargers have serial numbers starting with 2
2. G3 chargers have serial numbers starting with B

Choose your maximum charging current

The Autostart Module is available in different versions with different maximum charging-current limits. The standard version has no additional current limit.

Limited versions are available for installations where the charger's maximum current is higher than the capacity of the electrical circuit it is connected to. For example, you may have a 32 A EVBox charger connected to a circuit limited to 16 A.

In that case, choose the 16 A version. The module will then limit the charger's maximum charging current to 16 A, regardless of what the charger itself is capable of.

If you do not specifically need a current limit, choose Not limited.

Installation

Installation consists of replacing the original modem with the Autostart Module.

1. Open the EVBox charger.
2. Disconnect the original modem from its four-pin connector.
3. Connect the Autostart Module to the same connector.
4. Close the charger.

No soldering or other modifications are required.
