Give your USB devices the power they need without relying on your computer or Raspberry Pi's USB port. The Power Injector allows you to supply external 5V power to a USB device while maintaining its USB data connection to the host.
Designed for USB devices with higher power demands, it features reverse-current protection, a self-resetting fuse, and a compact PCB design.
- External 5V Power Injection – Power USB devices from an external supply instead of the host's USB port.
- Up to 5A Output
- USB 2.0 Data Passthrough – Maintains the D+ and D− connections between the USB host and device.
- Reverse-Current Protection – An ideal-diode MOSFET circuit helps prevent current from flowing backward into the external power supply.
- Host Power Isolation – The USB host's 5V line is disconnected, preventing injected power from feeding back into the host.
- Resettable Fuse Protection – Integrated resettable fuse protects against excessive current.
- Compact Design – Small footprint for embedded electronics, Raspberry Pi projects, and custom setups.
- Plug-and-Play Design – No software, drivers, or configuration required.
A regulated 5V DC power supply is required. This product does not regulate or convert voltage. Applying more than 5V may damage the connected USB device.
The USB host's VBUS connection is intentionally isolated. Power must be supplied through the external power input.
The external power supply and USB host share a common ground. This product does not provide galvanic isolation.
Output current is limited by the connected USB device, power supply, connectors, and protection circuitry.
