What is it?

This item is a Brand NEW 55 button programmable JP2 infrared remote control. The USB programming cable is included. The software allows the user to custom program any infrared protocol, change commands for each key, add macros, just about anything not available in most universal infrared remote controls, all from the 6 pin header under the battery cover.

What makes it special?

As of April 2021, Logitech officially discontinued their Harmony Remote Control lineup. Even before then, I had issues — every time I tried to program a Harmony remote, I’d often be met with an error message saying their server was down. It’s frustrating to rely on bloated software and a constant internet connection just to program a simple infrared remote.

That’s where JPx remotes come in. In my opinion, they’re not only a great alternative — they’re better than Harmony remotes. They're simpler, more reliable, and cost only a fraction of the price. Unlike typical universal remotes, which often use generic or incomplete code sets, JPx remotes let you customize every single key. If a factory code doesn’t exist for your device, you can manually input the correct IR commands using the software.
