Sharp PC-1600 256k / 512k RAM module

512K RAM expansion module for the Sharp PC-1600, this module offers two operating modes, each with its own advantages and trade-offs, allowing you to select the best option for your needs:

256 KB Mode (Default): This is the maximum possible native mode. The PC-1600 automatically detects the superRAM module, meaning no PEEKs, POKEs, or extra driver/initialization software are needed. However, you can only use half of the module's total memory capacity.

512 KB Mode: This mode allows full, unpartitioned access to the entire memory capacity. The trade-off is that it requires a custom initialization routine. To set it up, you will need a way to upload binary files from a host computer to the PC-1600. Alternatively, an optional ROM-disk module with the required software is available.
