GW-1687-5 Dallas DS1687-5 Maintainable Replacement

For sale are new made GW-1687-5 modules. These modules are 100% compatible with Dallas DS1687-5 modules -- they're made with a new Dallas DS1685-5. Unlike a DS1687-1, this module features a replaceable coin cell in a holder. When the battery dies, simply remove it and insert another CR1225 coin cell!

These modules replace the NVRAM/clock module often found in vintage SGI workstations such as the SGI O2 and Octane/Octane2, and are used in some industrial PC applications as well.

The first picture is the complete, assembled replacement module. We also offer just the repair board, which can be used to DIY rebuild your dead DS1687-5 modules. The repair board with battery is in the second picture.

This item uses a lithium cell and will be marked as such for mailing. This may increase delivery times in some cases, especially overseas.
