Pico Touch 2 Raspberry Pi Pico Capacitive Touch

What is it?

Pico Touch 2 - Raspberry Pi Pico Capacitive Touch Helper w/ SMD resistors assembled.

Why did you make it?

Helps with Raspberry Pi Pico capacitive sensing by taking care of 1M ohm resistors for you on pins 0 through 22. So 23 touch sensing inputs without the need for you to add resistors.

What makes it special?

AFAIK nothing else exists quite like this for the Raspberry Pi Pico. Makes capacitive touch easy. Also adds limited labels (at least some of which are unfortunately cut off) on top and duplicates most of the non-resistor pins.

Simply solder the Pico to this PCB, and you have a bunch of capacitive inputs ready for you to use. You can also use female headers to mount your Pico, allowing it to be easily swapped out as needed.

What about the Pico Touch 1?

As for the Pico Touch (original), check out Todd Kurt's ruler-like MIDI pad design here. It's a very cool device, though it's more of an all-in-one setup.

By coincidence (or subconscious memory) I came up with this name without thinking of Todd's design. The "2" was originally a reference to my EZ Fan 2 and JC Pro Macro 2 devices, but that ended up being quite fortuitous.

So I guess the lesson here is to add a number to the end of everything?
