The AT89LP Chip Copier is a standalone ISP programmer designed for reading, copying, and programming Atmel/Microchip AT89LP series microcontrollers.

With a newly redesigned circuit board and improved firmware, this latest version programs up to 25 times faster than previous versions, with speeds up to 4 MHz.

Use it as a completely standalone copier/programmer in the field, or connect it to a USB port to view programming messages during operation.

Copy and Program Functions

The AT89LP Chip Copier can read and program:

1. Flash memory
2. Data memory
3. EEPROM
4. User Signature Row (including calibration bytes)
5. Fuse settings
6. Lock bits

You can select which memory areas you want to copy. If you do not want to copy EEPROM, data memory, or signature row information, simply disable those options in the configuration menu.

The programmer can also automatically secure the device by programming the lock bits after writing.

Important: If the original device has already been protected with lock bits, the contents cannot be read or copied.

Simple Two-Step Operation

Read Mode

1. Remove jumper J1 to enter read mode.
2. Connect the Chip Copier to your AT89LP ISP circuit.
3. The programmer reads the device contents and stores the data internally.

Write Mode

1. Install jumper J1 to enter programming mode.
2. Connect to a blank or replacement AT89LP device.
3. The Chip Copier writes the stored contents automatically.
