Featuring a redesigned circuit board and improved firmware, this latest version programs up to 25 times faster than previous versions, with programming speeds up to 4 MHz.

Use it connected directly to a USB-equipped computer, or operate it as a standalone programmer for field programming, production, and on-site updates without a computer connection.

Why This Programmer Was Created

The official Atmel programming software for AT89LP devices was designed to work with a PC parallel port. Since modern computers rarely include parallel ports, a more practical programming solution was needed.

I work with AT89LP microcontrollers regularly and needed a programmer that was both reliable and convenient. In many situations, I needed to program multiple devices with the same firmware and configuration without carrying a computer to the work site.

The AT89LP ISP Programmer was developed to make that process simple, fast, and reliable.

Getting started is simple:

Connect the programmer to your computer.

Load your HEX files and configure programming options using a terminal program.

Disconnect from the computer or continue using USB mode.

Install Jumper J1. Now the programmer is in standalone mode.

Program your AT89LP devices whenever needed.

Once configured, the programmer stores the firmware and settings internally until they are changed. Please watch the video.

Programming Interface

The AT89LP ISP Programmer uses the standard Four-Wire SPI interface:

SCK

RESET

(Some AT89LP devices may also use the SS signal.)
