### What is it?


This is an industrial laser distance sensor based on the TF-Luna ToF module. It provides non-contact distance measurement and simultaneously features an RS485 Modbus RTU interface and an active 4–20 mA analog output.


The sensor is supplied as a complete, ready-to-use device with custom electronics, firmware, enclosure, and a 4 m connection cable. It can be used in industrial automation, PLC and process control systems, agriculture, smart home projects, level monitoring, tank level measurement, dosing systems, conveyor systems, and general distance measurement applications.


### Why did you make it?


The sensor was originally developed as a level sensor for the feed box of a concrete block machine, providing feedback for the automatic material dosing system. The goal was to create a cost-effective alternative to commercial laser level sensors, focusing on the required functionality without unnecessary features and high-cost industrial options. The sensor was built around the TF-Luna optical module, combined with custom electronics, industrial communication interfaces, and configurable signal processing.


The sensor has been operating reliably in a real industrial environment.
